Vision Correction

Your Optician is trained to detect any vision problem which you might have and advise you on how it should be corrected. They will carry out tests which will determine the type of lenses which will best suit your eyes and advise you on the best solution for your individual needs.
If you are Myopic then you are short sighted and usually need glasses or Contact Lenses for distance vision ie for driving or watching tv etc
If you are Hyperopic then you are long sighted and usually need glasses for reading and close up vision but you may also need glasses or Contact Lenses for your distance vision.
If you have Astigmatism then this means that your eyes are rugby ball shaped and this can cause headaches and blurred vision as it can cause a distortion in what you are looking at.
Presbyopia can occur when we get older because our ability to re-focus the eyes up close when we read can weaken with age.
