Eyecare Service

At Mc Manus Opticians we provide a full eyecare service including Comprehensive Eye tests, Paediatric Testing, Driving Reports, Contact Lens Fitting and Glaucoma testing.

We recognise the importance our patients place on the individual attention they expect to receive and we build our levels of service around those needs.

At our Practice you can be assured of a full and comprehensive eye exam while taking all the time necessary to thoroughly check vision, eye health and to discuss the best possible options for you and your eyes.

PRSI & Medical Card Holders

The PRSI Treatment Benefit Scheme is now available to Self-Employed workers since March 2017 and this entitles you to a free Eye Test every two years under this scheme. Also since the 28th October 2017, you can get a payment, once every second calendar year, towards either one pair each of reading and distance spectacles or one pair of bifocals. Cost will vary depending on the frames you choose. Basic frames are free. If you choose more expensive frames then you just pay the balance.

All Eligible Medical Card holders are entitled to a free eye test and free spectacles from our selected range every two years.

• Dry Eye & Red Eye Assessment. Optometrists are trained to recognise sight defects and eye conditions and will use special equipment to assess your eyes and advise you on treatment of the condition.
• Corporate Eyecare. We can provide safety Spectacles and VDU Screening for Corporate Customers. For your convenience this service can be made available on-site.
